Dots disappearing

Post by emma »

I have over 160 dots on my morph. I enter preview mode to look at it in bigger size. Then I come back and a whole bunch of my dots disappear, so I have to reapply them. It frustrates me. Is there a patch to fix this? Thanks!

We have never encountered such a strange problem!
I think the dots never disappear except you hide the dots by choosing the View/Dots menu or pressing CTRL+D, or you clear all the dots by choosing the Edit/Clear All menu.
If you can reproduce this problem step by step, please let us know, we'll find out.

Well, here's what I did. It just happened again, so I will tell what I did.

Went to 800% view to put on all of the face dots.

Went back to Best Fit view to put the other dots on.

Checked Movie Properties to see how many dots were on that sequence. It said there were 4, because that was my last save.

I saved so the movie properties would tell the real number of dots.

Went back to movie properties and it still said 4.

Went to a different sequence. Maybe it would all refresh if I went to another one.

Came back to the original sequence and there were only four dots!

Closed the project.

Opened the save with all of the dots on it.

Still 4 dots.

Exited the program and restarted with the project.

Still 4 dots.

There are 136 pictures in this one. It's happened at least 3 times in this one project.

Thank you! We reproduced this problem. There is a bug when you launch Movie Properties window once you add some key dots.
We'll fix it with the next version 4.0 in the near future.
For now, after you add some key dots on a sequence, do not launch Movie Properties window immediately, please switch to another sequence, and then you can launch Movie Properties window without any problem.
